“Welcome to Stagecraft! Students in this technical theatre class will will understand and utilize basic stagecraft and technical design concepts in the four main technical design areas: Lighting Design, Audio Design, Set Design, and Costume Design. Students will be taught industry design standard approaches to technical theater. This coursework is heavily based on in class labs that are highly participatory and hands on. This course works on theoretical productions in order to prepare students to construct and create full scale productions in the concentrator course Stagecraft, and then design, produce, and manage full scale productions in the capstone course, Theatrical Production and Design.”
